Barbara made raisin scones and mixed fruit for breakfast while we all talked. Kate and Jeff then went for a walk around the property for most of an hour. After that, we read a bit, but then headed to Squirrel Cove. We picked up a hitchhiker along the way ... we recognized her from the CNFC the night before. We looked around Squirrel Cove for a bit and then bought buns/ham/cheese/Coke for lunch and ate it sitting on a bench admiring the view across to Desolation Sound.

We then drove to Whaletown where we looked around for a short time, but then found ourselves paddling around C.. Island. On our way back to Barbs B&B, we stopped at Manson's Landing park for a short walk, then the grocery store at Manson's Landing for shampoo and a cribbage board, then had hot drinks and a muffin back at CNFC.

Once back, we had another bunwich for dinner, watched "Gone Baby Gone (2007)", and played 1/3 game of cribbage.

Kate took Sam and Sarah to the 10:20AM ferry from Mill Bay, and arranged for a Peninsula Taxi to pick them up in Brentwood Bay and take them to the airport.

Kate and Jeff then packed the Subaru and left for their honeymoon at 11:42AM. They had 3 quick stops (return the LCD monitor, return the tuxedo, and put air in the tires) and they were off to Campbell River. They arrived just in time for the 2:30 sailing to Quadra Island which put them in time for the 3:05 sailing to Cortes. They arrived at Barb's B&B at 4:40PM just as Barb did (she was on the same ferry).

They called the Floating Restaurant for reservations, but they were completely booked for the night. So Kate and Jeff went to the Cortes Natural Foods Coop for soup/salad/sandwich. Jeff watched "Hanna (2011)", but Kate fell asleep in the first half hour.

Gord and Jeannie make waffles for those at Kate and Jeff's place.

Meanwhile, Sam, Sarah, Peggy, Wade, Kate, and Jeff had breakfast at the Quamichan. Guy and Sue joined them as spectators as they had already had breakfast at their B&B.

Then those from the Quamichan went to the open house at Kate and Jeff's place. Peggy and Wade soon left because of other commitments. Guy and Sue left for their flight, but not until after Kate and Jeff opened their present of pottery mugs and bowls. Marcus, Megan and Liss visited but left as Kate and Jeff started opening other presents. When all the cards and presents were opened, and it was just Sam, Sarah, Kate, and Jeff, the four of them went for a bicycle ride to Rat Lake and back.

Kate heated up some chili for dinner, and the four watched "Catch Me If You Can (2004)" while Kate, Jeff, and Sarah took turns napping.

Folks were up and doing their respective jobs.

Sarah headed to Duncan soon after 10:30. She was going to have coffee with Guy and Sue (?)

Jeff headed to Duncan soon after 11AM, but forgot his tux at home. Jeff stopped at his office and picked up a monitor for the slide show (since he couldn't find the projector). Then he went to a beauty salon to get his nails done (!). He grabbed a wrap at Safeway and went to The Quamichan Inn a little after 1PM.

(The chairs were already set outside, so there was no question the ceremony would take place there.)

While he was there, he set up the music (his laptop and an iPod dock), slide show (Kate's laptop and the LCD from his work), the table signs, and the to-be-signed frame. He also helped Colleen arrange the tables to accommodate the seating plan.

Ken arrived around 2PM with Jeff's tux and the flowers and set to work on planning the music. Karen Goreas arrived about the same time to drop off a present from the running group. Helen and Lew arrived with Kelly and Rob and the cake. Other guests started arriving about the same time.

The wedding party (Kate, Sarah, Sam, Liss, and Megan) arrived in the limo at about 3:40PM and slipped upstairs. Ann Brunnet and Kathy Paton both arrived around that same time.

The wedding ceremony started soon after 4PM when the ladies started walking out: Liss, then Megan, then Sarah, then Guy and Kate. Jeannie started the ceremony with a reading. The ceremony went beautifully as the sun started breaking through the clouds.

After the ceremony, Gord asked that guests go into the building for hor's dourves and drinks while the wedding party stayed outside for photos. After photos, the wedding party mingled with everyone else for a short time before dinner.

Dinner was served at about 5:30PM, and it was fabulous. The volume was very high as everyone seemed to enjoy the conversation at their table. As dinner was wrapping up, speeches were made: Gord announced them, then Peggy toasted the bride, then Gord toasted the groom, then Jeff toasted the bride, then Liss spoke, Guy spoke, Megan spoke, and Terry Burgess spoke.

The room erupted into conversation again until it started to peter out at 11PM. The few people left (those staying at the Quamichan, plus Gord+Jeannie+Montana) were there as Jeff carried Kate across the threshold.

I won't say what happened after that.

After breakfast, Kate, Sam, and Sarah headed to Mill Bay, so Jeff headed to his office. Jeff got home first (around 1PM) and found a note from Guy and Sue, so he called them to say he was home. Everyone arrived about the same time, and socializing ensued.

Helen and Lew arrive a little after 3PM, so we all (except Lew) drove to the Kinsol Trestle for a walk and to get a look at the repaired structure.

We arrived back at about 4:30PM to find that Ann Brunnet (marriage commissioner), Liss, Megan, and Ken had all arrived. We ran though a rehearsal in our living room, and then Ann left. Lew and Helen put on an amazing dinner of barbequed salmon, roast vegetables, and wine, with strawberry cheesecake for dessert.

Gord, Jeannie, Montana, and Melody didn't arrive until an hour or so later.

Helen and Lew left to be with Kelly and Rob, who had already arrived at their house. Then Gord, Jeannie, Montana, and Melody left to go to their B&B and Guy and Sue left to go to their B&B. Sam and Sarah repeated their stay in their respective rooms. Ken and Jeff stayed up for a bitpicking wedding music, but then Ken went to bed in Liss' old room.

Samantha arrived on Monday, but got herself into and around Victoria.

Guy and Sue arrived on Thursday, but rented a car and got themselves to their own hotel: The Marriott in Victoria.

Sarah also arrived on Thursday, and spent most of the day visiting with Helen Moulden.

Jeff got off work around 3:30PM and took the 4:10PM ferry from Mill Bay to Brentwood Bay. He got to Kielzack Jewellers just before 5PM to pickup and pay for the rings. He then drove to Helen's to pick up Sarah around 5:20PM. They drove to Victoria with one quick stop along the way.

Kate pretty much went from work to the restaurant, with one important stop: she went to the Sandman Inn to pick up Sam's cellphone that she had lost.

So by 6:20, we were all at Ferris' Oyster Bar: Sam, Sarah, Sue, Guy, Kate, and Jeff. We had a great meal--huge portion plus we shared a brownie for dessert--then we all walked back to Guy and Sue's hotel. From there, Sam, Sarah, Kate, and Jeff walked back to Kate's car and Kate took Sam and Sarah home while Jeff drove himself there.

Soon after Kate showed them their rooms--Sarah in the Bonus Room and Sam in Megan's bedroom--it was off to bed for everyone.
